The Hair Group Inspires Surrey Salons
November 2009: Designed to inspire and motivate those in positions of authority in order to tackle the economic downturn, the day seminar aptly titled “Leadership and Management” commenced with an informative presentation from leading Marketing expert and author of “85 Inspiring ways to market your small business”, Jackie Jarvis and was entitled “Strategic Marketing and Communication”.
The day then continued with an energetic presentation from leading business coach Peter Lunn who delivered “Closing the Performance Gap” and urged attendees to make the most of opportunities and push themselves to reach their goals – sound advice indeed when many of the attendees needed new motivation having been in the industry for many years. Peter drew from his 40+ years of industry experience and left the group fully charged and ready to receive the next instalment of information.
To close the day, myhairdressers.com’s Stacey Broughton and Callam Warrington delivered a presentation on “Increasing Profitability through CPD” (continuous professional development) and demonstrated how this can be achieved in the workplace through the use of myhairdressers.com’s online training facility and downloadable step-by-step booklets. They also used head-blocks to showcase cuts that are available as step-by-steps on the site, providing a great insight into the bounteous amount of tips, tricks and advice that is available through subscription to myhairdressers.com. Best of all, all attendees at the event had their £495 fee FULLY REFUNDED by Train to Gain, so in essence, the day was at no cost to them! They also received a copy of Jackie’s book to take home, a work book from the day, a pen and a year’s FREE subscription to myhairdressers.com.
